چکیده

The aim of this study is to assess the canopy rainfall interception, surface detention storage, and soil moisture fluctuation in a micro-catchment coffee plantation. Field measurements were carried out using 15 funnel-type ordinary rain gauges an experimental area 30 m × measure passing through upper lower estimate interception throughfall. Rain placed at different locations account for variability net falling over catchment. Throughfall compared with Gross taken open space near plot. overall ratio average ground precipitation gross measured season was 0.82. Analysis intensities showed that lower-intensity contributes higher fraction loss. Site-specific field-based equations have been developed convert into throughfall agrarian basins plantations. Soil depletion data revealed layer responds atmospheric demand quickly, deeper layers. Thick layers require longer duration reach field capacities contribute significant amounts flow seasonal/low-order streams. discharge after two months continuous soils plantation fields saturation during monsoon release water maintain non-perennial streams ends.

The dynamics of rainfall interception by a seasonal temperate rainforest

Net canopy interception (Inet) during rainfall in an old-growth Douglas-fir–western hemlock ecosystem was 22.8 and 25.0% of the gross rainfall (PG) for 1999 and 2000, respectively. The average direct throughfall proportion (p) and canopy storage capacity (S) derived from high-temporal resolution throughfall measurements were 0.36 and 3.3 mm, respectively. Derived values of S were very sensitive...

Predictions of rainfall-runoff response and soil moisture dynamics in a microscale catchment using the CREW model

Predictions of catchment hydrology have been performed generally using either physically based, distributed models or conceptual lumped or semi-distributed models. In recognition of the disadvantages of using either of these modeling approaches, namely, detailed data requirements in the case of distributed modeling, and lack of physical basis of conceptual/lumped model parameters, Reggiani et a...

The Effects of Micro Catchment Runoff Harvesting System on Soil Moisture Enhancement

Rainfall harvesting and storage in soil depth through micro catchment contribute to curtail water deficiency of plants. The objective of this research that was conducted in Kaboodeh-Olya village in Kermanshah province, Iran, was to compare the effects of three different micro catchment systems on soil moisture storage including flat, crescent and rhombus shaped. The experimental research was pe...
